This is a revised reprint edition in 2 volumes ( Mourlot v. I: 1919-1949 -- v. II: 1949-1969) of Mourlot's original 4 v. catalogue.
This edition also includes additional prints listed in the single volume English language compilation of the lithographs published by Boston Book and Art in 1970 (cited in this database) plus new information from various subsequent publications printed after the artist's demise, including catalogues for retrospective exhibitions, the Huizinger collection, Picasso and Mourlot estate sales, auctions, etc. These findings, which include new information on variant states and some prints not previoulsy catalogued by Mourlot, have all been incorporated into this new revised edition of the lithographs.
In addition there are first English translations of texts by Mourlot, Sabartés and Kornfeld's 1982 chronology. There are also concordances to other standard references on the prints and books with original graphics: Güse,Rau and Mourlot, Cramer, Geiser & Baer, and Stolzenburg supplement, Stuttgart, 1994.
The volume also contains a bibliography, chronololgy (Kornfeld), and examples of Picasso's signature.
