Walter Liedtke, curator of the current exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum devoted to "Vermeer's Masterpiece The Milkmaid," on loan from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, will discuss the artist's complex and subtle depiction of women -- who embody elements of both desire and restraint.
