Photographer Dennis Morris brought this federal case of copyright infringement against appropriation artist Thierry Guetta and his company It’s a Wonderful World, Inc.. Guetta, more commonly known as “Mr. Brainwash,” created seven pieces of allegedly infringing pop art by altering Morris’ black and white documentary style photograph of the Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious.
