Summary

Generally Section 1346(a)(2), is known as the Little Tucker Act, while Section 1346(b), is know as the Federal Tort Claims Act. This section provides, in pertinent part, that the district courts shall have original jurisdiction, concurrent with the United States Claims Court over certain actions (see below for specific actions) and they shall have exclusive subject matter jurisdiction over federal tort claims.
